Who you are:

  • You'll need a portfolio with pieces demonstrating an application (not a marketing website) that has shipped; in the hands of users

  • You should have an interest in the following 3, with expertise in at least 2: User Research, UX Design, and Visual Design.

  • Someone who demonstrates collaboration with software engineering and product management disciplines.

  • Someone who always maintains a user-centered approach while respecting business needs

  • You'll be collecting and evaluating user requirements, in collaboration with product managers and engineers

  • You should have the ability to illustrate design ideas using storyboards, process flows and sitemaps

  • In addition, are you able to do the following?

  1. Craft graphic user interface elements, like menus, tabs and widgets
  2. Develop UI mockups and sketches

  3. Identify and take on UX problems

  4. Conduct user labs to gather user feedback

  5. Develop style standards on fonts, colors and images

 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in interaction design, industrial design, human factors, graphic design, human-computer interaction (HCI), etc.

  • 5+ years’ experience in UX/UI design of customer-facing software applications.

  • Validated work experience as a UI/UX Designer or similar role

  • Knowledge of user flow and wireframe tools (e.g. OmniGraffle, Invision, Axure, etc.)

  • Up-to-date knowledge of design software like Adobe Creative Cloud and Adobe XD

 

Your Future Team:

  • You will be working with our customers, Product Manager, and software development team to translate business and user needs into intuitive and delightful software applications. The UX/UI Designer will be part of a collaborative Agile team and will lead the design effort to make better product and UI decisions. This role will be involved throughout the entire Agile process, from developing a keen understanding of user needs, inventing and experimenting with design approaches, providing design artifacts for the development and other teams, and circling back with users to understand how the software is functioning in production use.
